A WAR medal, wedding ring and jewellery were among the "sentimental" items stolen a burglary in Teesside.

The break-in happened between 12.25pm and 10.50pm at a property on Tanya Gardens, Stockton on Thursday, December 3.

Stolen items include a First World War medal, in the shape of a star on a rainbow ribbon, belonging to the victim's late grandfather, a 22 carat gold bangle from Saudi Arabia and a wedding ring belonging to the victim's late grandmother.

A number of rings, necklaces and earrings were also taken from a jewellery box.

The items include:

• A 22 carat plain gold bangle with a diamond twist pattern from Saudi Arabia.

• A 9 carat yellow gold plain band wedding ring.

• A 9 carat cluster Garnet ring which with white stones on a spin band.

• A Garnet oval ring with one large single oval on a spin band.

• A child’s Gold signet ring which is a child’s ring.

• A silver Pandora ring with a purple centre stone and small white stones circling it to look like a flower.

• A Pandora ring with a black flower and a pearl.

• A gold drop pearl necklace with a thin yellow gold chain, a freshwater pearl and small white stones.

• A rose gold locket.

• A rose gold Vivienne Westwood earring with a planet and crown design.

• A silver and purple Vivienne Westwood earring with a plant and crown design.

• A silver bracelet with silver charms.

• A silver Pandora curb chain necklace with a silver March birthstone heart charm.

Mid-calf length brown Ugg boots and a pair of GHD straighteners in black and gold were also taken, along with collectable Beatrix Potter and other limited addition 50p pieces and a Christian Dior J’adore gift set.
