A DEFENDANT faces trial in the New Year after denying robbing another man of £40 and threatening him not to report it to police or to seek medical attention for his injuries.
Travis Dickinson is alleged to have punched the complainant several times in taking the money, on October 13 this year.
He denied charges of robbery, intimidation and assault by beating at a Durham Crown Court plea hearing.
The 32-year-old defendant, of Reay Court, Chester-le-Street, was remanded in custody to Durham Prison, pending the trial, due to start at the court, on January 18.
