THERE have been over 3,600 additional coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours across the North East and North Yorkshire.
According to figures published by the Government today, there have been a further 3,607 cases recorded since yesterday.
There were 213 daily deaths within 28 days of positive test.
Bringing the total to 61,648 with Covid-19 mentioned on the death certificate.

Redcar and Cleveland: 3,849 was 3,846
South Tyneside: 4,853 was 4,852
Stockton: 6,436
Sunderland: 9,734 was 9,656
York: 5,207 was 4,505
Total number of cases: 102,915
Increase since the last figures published yesterday: 3,607
