THE pressures caused by Covid and a second lockdown may leave many feeling overwhelmed and uncertain, but there are a few things coming up that will lift your spirits.

Months worth of cancelled and reorganised plans have been hit once again as England entered its second lockdown today, November 5.

While being stuck inside for four weeks is hard, it doesn't mean there is nothing to look forward to. Here are five things to lift your spirits this November.

I'm A Celebrity starts this month

ITV's I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is returning to screens in under two weeks,

Series 20 of I’m A Celebrity starts on Sunday, November 15 at 9pm and is the perfect distraction to England's month-long lockdown.

This year it's a little different with it being filmed in Wales, but keen viewers can get a taste of what's to come in Sunday's I’m A Celebrity...A Jungle Story.

Presenters Ant and Dec finally getting a taste of their own medicine in the show, aired at 8.10pm on November 8.

It's more socially acceptable to put Christmas decorations up

In efforts to salvage winter festivities, some people may (controversially) already have their Christmas decorations up, but as November ticks over, it is more and more socially acceptable to deck the halls with boughs of holly.

Let's face it, we all want something to look forward to.

Some absolute classics have dropped on Netflix, with more to come

If you think it's still too early for Christmas, don't worry, some great films have been added to Netflix and they are not all festive.

All seasons of Dawson's Creek are now available, which dropped alongside rom coms like Easy A and children's classics like Casper on November 1.

A Clockwork Orange is also streaming now, as is Ocean's Eleven and two family-friendly Elf Pets movies.

Those on the hunt for their true crime fix will be satisfied with Who Killed Maria Marta?, a documentary series on the death of María Marta García Belsunce, one of the most controversial criminal cases in Argentina.

Releases for the rest of the month are dominated by Netflix originals, with one even taking inspiration from the board game Ludo.

Virtual concerts catering to just about everyone

Livestreamed gigs will never be the same but at least you can actually dance like no one is watching - because it's just you in your living room.

Kylie announced Infinite Disco, a performance that will be streamed on November 7 from 8pm AEDT (9am GMT), which is a day after the arrival of her 15th studio album Disco.

It will take place in a “visual world” thought up by herself and creative collaborators.

The Australian star isn't the only person putting tech to use.

On the same day, former One Director member Niall Horan is playing London’s Royal Albert Hall at 8pm in a charity livestreamed concert to benefit his touring crew and the #WeNeedCrew relief fund. Mr Horan's exclusive show will not be available on-demand after the performance.

Metal legends Metallica are also playing a live acoustic show, this time from San Rafael, California. The band is hitting screens on Saturday, November 14 at 5pm ET (10pm GMT) and all ticket sales from the “Helping Hands Concert and Auction” will go towards the band’s charity All Within My Hands.

Stargazing just got a lot easier

Working from home and not managing to get outside until it's pitch black might be a little disheartening but it also makes stargazing a lot easier - just look up!

You no longer need to wait until the depths of the night to catch whatever celestial wonder the night sky has in store that evening.

Mars, the red planet, has been a dazzling sight in the night sky for weeks now so it is one to look out for if you haven't seen it already. The planet has a distinctive orange glow so it is easy to spot.
