A 59-year-old woman has appeared at court accused of swindling more than £205,000 out of several victims after claiming she was a specialist in recovering money lost in the housing market.
Elizabeth Crozier, of Taylor Court, Carrville, Durham, appeared before HH Judge James Adkin yesterday for a total of 11 counts of fraud. She pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The instances of fraud are alleged to have taken place between October 2011 and December 2017.
One victim claims to be more than £45,000 out of pocket, another £37,995.
Ms Crozier was given unconditional bail and will appear for trial at Durham Crown Court on June 7, 2021.
