DETECTIVES investigating an attempted robbery have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.
The attempted robbery is alleged to have happened at a shop in Stockton on the evening of Thursday, October 8.
Staff at A&A Johnson on Bishopton Road reported being threatened by a man who was armed with a knife and who demanded money.
They raised the alarm and he fled empty handed, along with a woman who’s described as of slim build.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "The man we’d like to speak to (pictured) has a distinctive tattoo on his forearm and we would ask anyone with information to contact Stockton CID via the 101 number, quoting Ref 165420.
"If you don’t want to speak to police, please consider passing information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers online at crimestoppers-uk.org or by phoning them on 0800 555 111."
