Man, 22, arrested in Redcar on suspicion of trying to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity
A MAN has been arrested in suspicion of attempting to incite a teenager to engage in sexual activity.
The 22-year-old was arrested early yesterday in the Redcar area.
A spokeperson for Cleveland Police said he was arrested on suspicion of malicious communications and on suspicion of attempting to cause or incite a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity.
He was interviewed by officers from Operation Phoenix, the force's campaign to improve public service, prioritise vulnerability, tackle serious violence and prevent crime.
He has been released under investigation while further inquiries take place.
