Police have closed Hesleden near Blackhall following a crash
A driver has been taken to hospital following a crash on the B1281 at Hesleden Road, near Blackhall.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision on the B1281 at Hesleden Road near Hardwicke Hall Manor Hotel at 10.47am.
"The incident involved a blue Honda Jazz. The ambulance service has been in attendance. The driver is believed to have minor injuries."
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a one-vehicle road traffic collision on the B1281 on Hesleden Road, near Blackhall, at 10.50am.
"A double-crewed ambulance was in attendance. One patient was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton."
The road has now reopened.
