TWO people have been arrested after a police dog sniffed out a quantity of suspected drugs in Teesside.

Police carried out a drug warrant at an address on Palmer Street, Middlesbrough, this morning.

Police dog Alfie, pictured above, was able to discover suspected amphetamine which was seized by officers.

A 33-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. Both remain in police custody at this time.

The warrant was carried out after community concerns were raised about possible exploitation.

The Cleveland Police complex exploitation team attended, alongside Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Team and the Cleveland Police dog section.
