WITNESSES are being asked to come forward following a reported robbery of a vehicle in Teesside.

A quad bike was reported to have been stolen from Vicarage Street, in Stockton, on Monday.

The incident resulted in two men, who were on the quad bike at the time, being injured.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said a grey Volkswagen Passat reportedly drove into a quad bike causing it to collide with a parked vehicle at about 6.30pm.

The spokesperson said: "The occupants of the Volkswagen then reportedly stole the quad bike.

"Two males aged 33 and 21 were on the quad bike at the time of the incident and have suffered minor injuries.

"Four males aged 22, 22, 15 and 29 have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody whilst enquiries continue.

"Both the quad bike and the Volkswagen were later seized by officers."

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the reported robbery or anyone with dash cam or private CCTV footage of the time and area of the incident are asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 167874.
