A HAUNTED house 'experience' is coming to the North-East for Halloween - and it will be set in a building dating back to the 1800s.

Tipped as Newcastle's first "fully immersive" haunted house scare experience, those brave enough to take part will go through a series of rooms.

Set in Neptune House, which is on the quayside, the 'Haunted House Newcastle' experience is taking place in the last week of October.

A spokesperson for the experience said: "Dating back to the 1800’s, Neptune House is plagued by tales of years gone, the next just as gruesome and spine chilling as the last.

"Haunted by disembodied spirits of the deceased and rooms filled with uncertainty, you don’t know what’s hiding behind every corner.

"Newcastle, we dare you to enter The Haunted House this Halloween."

It is being organised by SSD Concerts Virgin Money Unity Arena) and Jaluminati (2019's Phobia Halloween Event).
