MOTORCYCLES, quad bikes, vehicles and thousands of pounds worth of cannabis was seized by police in a bid to clamp down on criminal activity in Stockton.

Stockton Neighbourhood Officers with assistance from Special Constables, the Motorcycle Unit, the Local Authority Community Team and the Thirteen Group to tackle the illegal use of motorcycles, off road bikes and other criminal activity in Stockton.

Over the weekend an estimated £10,000 worth of suspected cannabis was seized in the Roseworth area.

Two quad bikes, three motorcycles and a car was seized by officers across Stockton which were all suspected to be stolen.

In Norton a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and a friction lock baton was seized as well as his vehicle.

An 18-year-old was reported in Stockton for driving offences and his motorbike was seized.

A vehicle was recovered in Billingham after officers discovered it wasn’t insured.

In Ingleby Barwick a 20-year-old man was given a Section 59 notice for careless driving.

In addition to this two people were arrested as a result of warrants executed and they both remain in custody.
