A PUB which has been open for 122 years has closed in Elton, Stockton.
The Sutton Arms notified its customers on Facebook that it was closing after 35 of the 122 years under the same owner.
The Facebook post, published last night (Wednesday), said: "It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you all that as of this evening, Wednesday 23rd September, The Sutton Arms will no longer be trading for the forseeable future. We are retiring and it has been sold but not as a going concern.
