A POLICE response call handler will be representing Durham in the final of Miss England.

Olivia Bulmer, 20, who takes 101 calls for the police, has also collected over 200 tree planting pledges which fast tracked her in to the final of the beauty contest taking place next April.

The 2020 final was postponed due to Miss World postponing the 70th Miss World final due to the Pandemic . This means the NHS Doctor Bhasha Mukherjee, who won her title in Newcastle in August 2019, will be the longest-serving Miss England in the history of the contest.

All of the Miss England changemakers have earned their finalist tiles through green and social positive actions.

Olivia now aims to promote ethical living to tackle global warming and encourage people to offset their carbon footprints.

So far this year the Miss England finalists have collected over 10,000 tree planting pledges that not only offset CO2 pollution, but also aid African families out of poverty and hunger, whilst increasing biodiversity for native wildlife.
