A HEAVILY convicted sexual deviant is back behind bars after using the internet to offer to pay young men to send him videos of themselves performing sex acts in woodland or sand dunes.

Robin Jackson handed himself into the authorities as he was struggling to contain his sexual appetites, Teesside Crown Court heard.

The 66-year-old started visiting male porn sites during lockdown before contacting a number of young-looking men offering them cash for videos.

Philip Morley, prosecuting, said the account had been accessed to search for young men who were performing sex acts on themselves.

He said Jackson contacted his supervising officer on July 27 and told them he had been using the internet to access pornographic websites.

Officers attended his home and they seized a mobile where they discovered he had been accessing a website between May and July of this year, under a profile name which they had not been notified about.

"He also asked other users to send him videos of them performing a sex act in woodland or sand dunes, and offered to pay them," said Mr Morley.

"The defendant was interviewed and he made full admissions to the offences; he confirmed knowing the terms of the prevention order.

"He went on to say he was not sexually attracted to male children and preferred males over 18."

Mr Morley told the court how Jackson had offences on his record spanning a considerable time from 1975 to 2020.

The court heard the defendant persuaded a woman to let him use her internet before asking her to pay for him to access pornography – a request the woman declined.

Jackson, of The Crescent, Middlesbrough, pleaded guilty to breaching his sexual harm prevention order and the conditions of his notification requirement order.

Paul Cleasby, mitigating, said his client had made full and frank admissions.

He added: "This is not a case where an offender breaches his order and goes to a park and sits with children, where the risk is high.

"This is a man in lockdown who is viewing adult material which puts him in breach of his order.

"It was an offending that started within lockdown when this man returned to his pornography addiction."

Judge Howard Crowson sentenced Jackson to 16 months in custody for the 'persistent' breaches of his SHPO.

He said: "You have a long history of sexual offending and you clearly pose a significant risk to young males.

"You said to police that you have a sexual addiction which you are struggling to control. You had been visiting a pornographic site. You requested videos to be created with content which appealed to you.

"It's clear that users looked particularly young, despite their profile age stating they're 18."
