FUNNYMAN Jason Manford hosted a live comedy show in the North-East over the weekend.
The Mancunian comic fronted the comedy show at Virgin Money Unity Arena at Gosforth Park near Newcastle on Sunday.
The night before audience were treated to a set by indie rockers The Libertines.
A spokesman for the organisers of the comedy show said: “Manford had the socially distanced crowd roaring with laughter, and up and coming Geordie comedian, Lauren Pattinson went down a storm.”
Last night, Eight out of Ten Cats host Jimmy Carr played at the venue and today there will be a set from Black Books star Bill Bailey.
September also sees gig performed by Irish musician Van Morrison and former Boyzone star Ronan Keating.
There will also be a DJ set from Red Dwarf actor Craig Charles, and performances by local acts Maximo Park and the Lighthouse family
Meanwhile, Bongo’s Bingo is coming to the venue on Friday, September 4.
