THERE have been more than 70 new confirmed coronavirus cases in the North-East and North Yorkshire.
The new cases were confirmed this afternoon.
Meanwhile, a further 1,715 people tested positive for the virus across the UK.
One death was reported as having taken place with 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.
Meanwhile, three hospitals in England reported that a patient had died with coronavirus. None were in the North-East.
The daily figures for coronavirus infections in the North East and North Yorkshire by local authority, as reported at 4pm on Sunday, August 30, were:
