A MAN has died after a serious injury in serious incident in Carlin How, near Redcar.
Cleveland Police were called to a report of an incident on Brotton Road in Carlin How, near Redcar, at 4.30pm yesterday, Friday, August 21.
It was reported that a man had suffered serious chest injuries, believed to have been caused by a firearm.
Officers attended the scene along with colleagues from the North East Ambulance Service and the Great North Air Ambulance Service but a 58-year-old man was pronounced deceased in hospital a short time later.
A force spokesperson said: "Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time."
Last night Cleveland Police said a man and a woman had been arrested in connection with the incident and today confirmed a total of people have now been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Three men aged 31, 32 and 35 and a woman aged 32 all remain in police custody whilst enquiries continue.
