TUDOR Croft Gardens in Guisborough are looking as colourful and wonderful as ever and they're inviting you to come and join them.

The botanical gardens' June weekend was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak but by opening on four different days and with social distancing arrangements in place, they are now ready to welcome garden lovers once again for the second of two summer open weekends.

Tudor Croft’s many secrets include arbours, fountains, lily ponds, curving paths, old medieval stonework, a meandering stream, follies and even terracotta elves made in the 1930s at Crossley’s brickworks in Commondale.

The gardens will be open on Saturday and Sunday, August 22 and 23 from 10am to 4pm each day.

Admission is £5, free for children, and off-road parking is available.

Teas will be served outdoors and there will be many beautiful plants for sale.

Funds raised will go to the charity Kids Kabin, which works with disadvantaged children in Middlesbrough and Newcastle.

The gardens are at 1-9 Stokesley Road, Guisborough TS14 8DL.

The gardens also have a Facebook page @TudorCroftGardens

On a post on Facebook the owners said: "Mike and Gel are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone this weekend. The gardens are looking glorious."
