PREPARATIONS are in full swing for socially-distanced concerts at two North Yorkshire estates.

The Sounds in the Grounds series will see live music performed at Scampston Hall near Malton and Ripley Castle near Harrogate this August Bank Holiday weekend and early September.

The four-night concert series will see performances from A Country Night in Nashville and the New York Brass Band.

They will be joined by Abba Mania, The Bootleg Beatles and Beyond the Barricade performing popular hits from the musicals with guest star Lockie Chapman, a founding member and lead singer with hit band The Overtones.

All the concerts are being organised to conform to guidance from Public Health England regarding Covid-19.

Ticket holders will be given their own designated 'picnic patch' available for two, four or six people which will be socially-distanced from others.

The Scampston Hall concerts run over the Bank Holiday weekend and Ripley Castle events from September 3 to 6.
