A MOPED rider was taken to hospital after coming off his bike in Newton Aycliffe.
It happend at around 3pm on Saturday afternoon on Stephenson Way and the road was closed to traffic for several hours.
A Durham Police spokesman confirmed: "We were called at 3.05pm yesterday (August 8) to an incident in which a moped rider came off his bike on Stephenson Way, in Newton Aycliffe.
"Paramedics also attended and took the man to hospital.
"No other vehicles were involved in the incident."
