A road traffic collision caused a lorry to overturn on the A19 this morning.
Cleveland Fire Brigade reported that the lorry driver was trapped in the vehicle.
The driver was freed by fire brigade personnel and transported to hospital via ambulance.
The crash occurred at 10.51am this morning and there is still reported traffic around the area.
Four fire engines attended the scene from Middlesbrough, Stockton and Thornaby where the vehicle was made safe.
Cleveland Police reported earlier that the northbound A19 slip road towards the A174 in Thornaby is closed.
