IRISH indie band Two Door Cinema Club will perform an afternoon show, as well as their evening performance, at an outdoor music venue this month.
The Virgin Money Unity Arena at Newcastle Racecourse has confirmed the band, which recently released fourth album False Alarm, will play two live sets on Saturday, August 15.
They will be backed by Newcastle singer-songwriter Andrew Cushin, whose single Waiting for the Rain is out now.
In situ until the end of the summer, the arena enables people to park at their own platform and enjoy live music whilst social distancing.
Organisers hope to make up for the hundreds of festivals and concerts that have been forced to postpone or cancel this year and boost the entertainment industry which has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tickets go on sale from 5pm this Friday via the website virginmoneyunityarena.com/
