A MAN needed stitches in his face and a woman was arrested after a disturbance in Whitby.
Police are investigating the incident which happened in Runswick Avenue at around half past midnight on Friday, July 31.
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance in the residential street and on arrival, they found a man in his fifties with injuries to his face that required hospital treatment including stitches.
A woman in her forties has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on conditional police bail to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist the investigation to contact them.
