PART of an A-road will be shut for three days from Monday enable essential repairs.
North Yorkshire County Council will carry out excavation and repair work to part of the A684 in Morton on Swale which has severely subsided.
It is scheduled to take three days under a full road closure. A signed diversion will be in place.
Vehicle access to properties may be affected, but contactors will assist during the working day. There may be times when access isn’t possible.
County Councillor Annabel Wilkinson, of the Swale division, said: “This is essential work to repair a large area of road in Morton on Swale which has subsided. If, as work progresses, circumstances enable us to lift the full road closure, we will do so.
“We apologise for the disruption these works will cause but ask drivers for their patience and understanding to ensure a safely executed project.”
