Middlesbrough assault victim is named as Eric Hunter
A 39-YEAR-old man, who died following an alleged assault in Middlesbrough, has been named locally as Eric Hunter.
Mr Hunter suffered serious head injuries following the alleged assault in the early hours of Saturday morning (July 25).
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where he died on Monday (July 27) afternoon.
A man has been charged with section 20 assault and appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Monday (July 27).
The case was sent to Teesside Crown Court to be held on August 24.
Section 20 assault involves grievous (or really serious) bodily harm or a wound.
