A WILDLIFE trust is encouraging people to pick up the binoculars at home.

For the past three years the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust has run its summer activities on its nature reserve Hardwick Dene but this year due to Covid-19 restrictions the charity is bringing the activities to people's homes in Stockton with the launch of its summer programme.

Those who sign up to the programme will get a bag of goodies including all the equipment need to do a series of activities.

You can also tune into People and Wildlife Manager Steve Ashton on YouTube talking about wildlife and showing you what to do at home to make your garden more animal friendly.

This includes bird watching with your own binoculars, making bird feeders, making an insect box and planting in the garden.

The materials for the activities will be delivered on a Tuesday morning including lunch and the session in the afternoon will be from 1.30-3.30pm the session start on Tuesday 28th July.
