POLICE are urgently appealing to trace missing Peter Quinn aged 35 who was reported missing yesterday.
It is believed he is in the Saltburn area and was last seen wearing a t-shirt and green khaki coloured bottoms.
Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were also contacted by Cleveland Police on the evening to assist with the search in the Saltburn area.
Team members were contacted and deployed to Saltburn together with one of their Land Rover ambulances and the Incident Control vehicle. In addition a Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team member and his search dog were deployed.
28 Cleveland MRT members were involved in the search, together with two co-ordinating their response remotely and the Swaledale MRT member & search dog. The searches lasted approximately 4-hours.
Following extensive searches of the areas allocated to the mountain rescue personnel by the police, they were stood down at midnight.
Police enquiries to trace the man continue and officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen him or anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
