A SITE manager who has overseen developments in Northallerton has won a prestigious national house-building award.
Leon Carling, site manager at Taylor Wimpey’s Thurstan Park and Williams Heath developments, was chosen out of 11,000 entries to receive an NHBC (National House-Building Council) Pride in the Job Quality Award.
The awards recognise an individual’s dedication to building high-quality homes and are presented following a rigorous judging process by NHBC inspectors.
This includes assessing the developments throughout the year, as well as on-site spot checks.
Mr Carling said: “I’m delighted to have won a Quality Award.
"It’s a fantastic honour, not just for me, but for the whole team at Thurstan Park.
"They all work incredibly hard and take great pride in ensuring that the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards.”
Jackie Coulthard, managing director of Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said Mr Carling's award was 'thoroughly deserved', adding the company is committed to maintaining the highest levels of quality.
