THREE people have been arrested after officers seized a quantity of suspected heroin.
Officers from Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a 50-year-old man following a stop search in Eshwood Square, in Newport at about 11.55am on Wednesday.
The officers made the arrest after recovering a quantity of suspected heroin.
It led to the search of an address on the same road, where a 54-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
All three have been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
