Police were called to a disturbance at a car garage in Brenda Road, Hartlepool on Sunday (June 28).
It was reported that a man was being monitored via CCTV attempting to gain access into vehicles on the premises.
PC Rashad and police dog Rocky attended the scene and a man aged 43 was arrested on suspicion of burglary, going equipped for theft, vehicle interference and theft from a vehicle.
Various items were reportedly seized from the man including tools, clothing contained in a bag, a toasty machine and a telescopic car wash brush.
The man has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
