Police officers from the Stockton Neighbourhood team conducted a number of patrols at Kingsway car park in Billingham town centre at the weekend after receiving complaints regarding antisocial behaviour.
The local community had expressed their concerns regarding youths driving dangerously in the area and littering.
Throughout the patrols officers issued ten section 59 notices to youths, which is a warning issued when a vehicle is used in a manner which causes alarm, distress or annoyance.
If they are caught driving their vehicles in this manner again, police have a right to seize the vehicles.
Advice was also given in relation to antisocial behaviour and littering and the drivers were asked to leave the location.
