A VAN driver was detained after a crash on the A66 in Richmondshire on Friday night for allegedly driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
North Yorkshire Police said there were luckily only minor injuries. A sample was obtained for analysis and the driver will be interviewed in due course.
In a separate incident in Richmondshire, another driver was arrested having provided a positive test for cocaine.
A blood sample was taken. Police say she is already pending the result from another drug drive arrest a few days ago.
