FIGURES published on Sunday afternoon confirmed further deaths reported in Harrogate.
No new deaths were recorded in County Durham & Darlington, South Tees, Cumbria, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, Northumbria, South Tyne and Sunderland, Tees, Esk and Wear Valley, Newcastle or York.
Two new cases of Covid-19 deaths have been reported from Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, which yesterday had a total of 75 death cases, whilst todays figures show the toll now stands at 77.
A total of 1,698 coronavirus hospital patients have now died in the region after testing positive for Covid-19.
There has been a increase in new positive coronavirus cases by 1,514.
In total 295,889 people across the UK have tested positive for coronavirus with England having 157,074, Scotland having 15,755, Wales having 14,742 and Northern Ireland having 4,848.
Todays daily death toll is at its lowest since lockdown began, with 36 recorded deaths recorded yesterday. However, Sunday figures are often lower due to delays in reporting over the weekend.
The last time the daily tally was lower was on March 21 when 35 deaths were confirmed, two days before the nationwide lockdown.
In total a number of 41,698 have now sadly died.
