Eight people in Hartlepool received some good news yesterday – they’ve each scooped a cash prize of £1,000 thanks to their postcode.
The Nookston Close neighbours landed the windfall when TS26 0PG was announced as a People’s Postcode Lottery winner on Thursday, May 21.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Matt Johnson said: “I’m over the moon for our winners in Hartlepool. A big congratulations to everyone. I hope they celebrate and enjoy spending the cash.”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted by ActionAid, which has received more than £8.4 million in funding to change the lives of disadvantaged women and children all over the world.
