Police are appealing for information after a collision involving a motorcyclist in Middlesbrough.

The incident happened at around 9.25pm on Broadwell Road, Middlesbrough, involving a blue Yamaha motorcycle.

The 32-year-old male motorcycle rider suffered a broken leg as a result of the incident and he was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment.

Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have dash cam footage or CCTV footage of it; or of the motorcycle being driven prior to the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Michael Fearns from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 81055.
