Police are appealing for information after a bag was stolen from a van delivering vital food supplies to a store in Thorntree, Middlesbrough.
The incident happened at around 6.10am yesterday (Tuesday) at the One Stop Shop on Cargo Fleet Lane.
The driver of a delivery van, which was parked at the side of the store, was in the store for a matter of seconds when a jacket and a bag was taken from the passenger seat of the vehicle.
The bag was fortunately empty at the time of the incident.
Police have described the suspect as a man dressed in an all blue tracksuit with a white logo on the side and black trainers which were possibly Nike.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting event number 79924.
