The charges were made in connection with an incident in Holyrood Court, Middlesbrough on Wednesday where over 30 Easter eggs were allegedly stolen from a vehicle between midnight and 8am.

It is understood the Easter eggs had been purchased with money donated from people from a local church for the children and young people the owner of the car works with.

The children have learning disabilities, physical disabilities and life threatening and life limiting health conditions.

The owner of the car, which had the back window smashed, is a key worker and posted on Facebook that they will not be able to go out to any of the families they work with until the car is fixed.
