A HUGE message of support for our emergency service workers has appeared this week on the Tees Flyover in Stockton.

The impressive 'Thank You NHS' has been spray painted in place of old graffiti on the underside of the bridge which carries the A19.

Although it remains unclear who left the message, its appearance has divided opinion with some praising the efforts on social media.

On social media, one person said: "The sentiment is fantastic but the defacing is criminal."

Meanwhile another said: "This is the type of graffiti that should be allowed."

It comes just five days after the Rainbow Trail proved a success with children across the North-East and North Yorkshire.

The Rainbow Trail, which involved children creating their own rainbows, showed the support of our NHS workers.

The Northern Echo was inundated with entries when we asked for your contributions!
