A CHARITY set up in memory of a boy who captured the nation’s hearts before he died of a rare form of cancer has set up a special coronavirus fundraising group.

The Bradley Lowery Foundation has set up the Facebook group to help raise vital donations and awareness for all of the poorly children it is currently supporting.

Due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak, many events across the country have had to be postponed or cancelled.

The concept of the group is to keep people entertained by running hosting interactive activities while raising vital funds for the children during this difficult time.

So far, the nightly games, which include bingo, quizzes, Deal or No Deal and Wheel of Fortune, have raised more than £420, which will be shared between the poorly children the foundation is currently fundraising for, nationwide.

Lynn Murphy, co-founder of the foundation and its head of fundraising and communications, who is hosting the games, said: “During quarantine, people are looking for ways to occupy their time.

“Everyone is in the same boat, people are bored, and we all want something to look forward to, with this group we can offer that, and still help our amazing children in the process.”

“Donations can be made to our children’s campaigns, and we are offering a couple of hours entertainment and giving away some amazing prizes too.”

Sessions, including a range of games and activities, start

at 7pm, every night.
