POLICE are appealing for information after receiving a report that woman was dragged out of a car and attacked in Stockton.
The woman was a passenger in a car being driven along Yarm Road at around 3.20am this morning (March 21).
The attack happened outside Lidl when the woman was pulled out of the vehicle by the driver, physically assaulted and forced back into the car.
The yellow car, possibly a Vauxhall Corsa or similar, left at speed towards the Ingleby New Road and Yarm direction.
The driver is described as having blonde hair and wearing glasses.
An investigation has been launched and officers are working to try and identify and find the woman, and are looking at CCTV in the area.
Drivers in the area at that time are being asked to check any dash cam footage.
