Artist, Isabella Armstrong, aged nine, has just sold her first painting after showing it in her first ever exhibition.

She made the rainbow painting as part of the exhibition at the new Eston Arts Centre in Eston, Middlesbrough called Let Your Dreams Shape Your Future.

The show featured flying cars, an enchanted forest and robots from the future.

She will be spending the money on a trip to Harry Potter World with her family later in the year.

Her mother, Wendy Armstrong, said "It’s such amazing news about Isabella's artwork. She is over the moon. It's really made Isabella's day, and mine.

“Both Isabella and her sister, Angelica, who was also in the exhibition, love to be creative, and they are always painting and drawing at home. Isabella has dreams of being an artist when she is older."

The proud new owner of the painting is Sarah Ellerby, CEO of Nova Pangaea Technologies, who are based at Wilton International in Redcar.

Sarah loved Isabella’s painting and was pleased to support such a talented young artist.

She said: "The art will live at my Nova Pangaea Technologies office.”
