Hartlepool has its first confirmed case of coronavirus.
Latest figures released by Public Health England show one positive test has been returned in the town.
It brings to the total in the North-East to 39: Newcastle 13, North Tyneside 7, South Tyneside 2, Sunderland 3, Gateshead 1, County Durham 3, Hartlepool 1, Stockton 6, Darlington 2, Redcar 1
Figures from 9am on Wednesday said that 2,626 cases were confirmed in the United Kingdom which is an increase of 676 on the previous day.
Some 65 patients have recovered, with a total of 103 deaths recorded.
Full council and planning meetings are among those which will not be taking place this week after Hartlepool Borough Council moved to postpone all meetings due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Council chiefs announced they have taken the decision to postpone all council meetings pending national guidance, which they are expecting to receive in the coming days.
