ONE of the alleged victims of a violent pimp has categorically denied making up the allegations.

The woman told jurors that she was raped beaten with a hammer, strangled, forced to dig her own grave and had her head dunked into a pond several times while being kicked and punched.

Jurors heard that the traumatic events all happened during the summer holidays after she left school in Darlington in the 90s.

Junior Bryan, known as JC, is accused of carrying out a catalogue of sexual and violent assaults on the teenager.

Under cross examination from defence barrister Jason Pitter QC, the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, emphatically rebuffed his assertion that she had made all of the allegations up.

He said: "The things you say happened at the hands of JC simply didn't happen, did they?" She replied: "Yes they did."

Mr Pitter said: "The allegation of being taken down to the pond and dunked under the water, just didn't happen?" The woman replied: "Yes it did."

When asked why she had initially failed to tell investigating officers about the incident where she was forced to 'dig her own grave', she replied: "Yes it did happen but I had just blocked it from my mind."

Earlier in the trial, the woman told detectives that he then subjected her to a brutal and humiliating sexual assault before threatening to kill her if she told anyone.

Fighting back tears, she said: “When he was raping me he put his hand around my neck; it got to the point where I was seeing colours and I thought I was going to die.”

Bryan, who is charged with the rape of the teenager, is facing a catalogue charges from 1993 to 2013 against eight women.

The 63-year-old is facing 32 charges, including multiple alleged rapes, false imprisonment, dealing Class A drugs and living off the earnings of prostitution.

Earlier in the trial, jurors heard that the alleged offences happened in Darlington, Middlesbrough, Leeds and London.

Another of his alleged victims was also given cannabis spiked with heroin to get addicted before being repeatedly raped in a Darlington flat.

The-then teenager, who was targeted while the defendant was living in Darlington, was severely beaten when she said he "flipped and kicked the c***" out of her before raping her.

Another complainant told how she was forced into prostitution.

Bryan, of Marton Road, Middlesbrough, denies all charges. The trial continues.
