A LOVE Island star dropped into a Middlesbrough restaurant for a reunion with his Teesside friends at the weekend.
Redcar-lad Luke Mabbott, known on the show as Luke M, visited the Oven Restaurant on Linthorpe Road for a slap-up meal on Saturday evening.
The heating engineer, who was on ITV 2s Love Island this year, came third along with partner Demi Jones in the finale in February.
But stopping for a ribeye steak meal, the restaurant told The Northern Echo the star had posed for pictures as customers wised-up.
The restaurant said: "He came in on Saturday night with his friends as a reunion night out, we took a photo of him with our waitress Nieve Gibson.
"Quite a lot of our customers said what a nice guy he was, so polite and friendly while people were trying to take his photo.
"He went live on Instagram and posted pictures of their food with a note saying @ovenboro sorting the boys out thanks guys legends.
"We hope he’s going to visit us again soon."
The North-East saw great success with contestants from the region appearing in the latest series - Darlington footballer Luke Trotman and girlfriend Siannise came second in the finale.
At the time he said: "What an experience, I can’t even describe how amazing it was."
