A MAN is being sought by police following a report of an alleged sexual assault in the early hours of Saturday, December 28, 2019.
The incident is believed to have happened between 3am and 3.30am at an alleyway next to a car park off Blandford Street, Newcastle.
The man, who is described as black, around 5ft 9ins tall with a bushy but trimmed beard, wearing blue jeans and a black hoody with a distinctive lettering, was seen on CCTV in the area at that time.
He may be able to assist officers with their enquiries.
Detective Constable Mcnally of Northumbria Police said: “I appreciate that the CCTV stills are not the best quality but I’m hopeful that someone may be able to recognise this individual.
“Please, if you recognise him or, if this is you, please get in touch as any information you are able to provide, could prove vital to our enquiry.”
