A WARNING has been issued after potentially dangerous medication was stolen from a house in Stockton.

Police are warning members of the public to be wary after a quantity of Pregabalin, Apixaban, Mirtazapine and Promethazine tablets were taken from a property in Zetland Road.

The break-in happened at about 1.40pm today. 

Police say the medication could be potentially dangerous if taken by someone who has not been prescribed it. 

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Officers would ask anyone who comes across the medication to hand it in to their local pharmacy or police station."

The tablets can be handed in to any of Cleveland Police's stations. 

The four main police stations are in Middlesbrough – Bridge Street West, Stockton – Thistle Green, Redcar and Cleveland – Troisdorf Way and Hartlepool – Avenue Road.

All are open from 8am til 8pm.
