POLICE are growing increasingly concerned about the welfare of a 66-year-old man who may have travelled to Durham or North Yorkshire.

Douglas Watson went missing from his home in Weeley, in Essex.

Essex Police say the man, who is 5ft 6ins tall, with grey hair and is of a medium build, may have travelled to North Yorkshire or Durham. 

He was last seen yesterday morning, Thursday 6 February and was wearing blue jeans, brown shoes and a black coat. 

Officers believed Mr Watson has travelled to #Cambridgeshire by train and then onto #Northampton. He could also be North Yorkshire, where he recenty visited on holiday.

His family and officers are worried about him and want to find him to make sure he is okay. 

Anyone who has seen Mr Watson, or has any information about where he might be are asked to please call 101.

A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Douglas Watson.

"It is possible that Watson may have travelled to the Durham area. If any persons have any information relating to his whereabouts please contact Essex Police on 101."
