POLICE have appealed for sightings of an elderly woman last reported to be seen boarding a bus on Saturday afternoon.
Officers said there was increasing concern for the welfare of Sylvia Ferris-Brown, from Peterlee.
The 78-year-old was last seen at Peter Bus Station getting on to a service heading towards Durham.
She is described as being short with blonde/white hair and when last seen was wearing a black duffle coat, with black trousers, and carrying a medium-sized turquoise handbag.
If anyone knows of her whereabouts they are asked to contact Durham Police, on 101, quoting incident reference DHM-01022020-0509.
