A WOMAN had to be taken to hospital after she was hit by a white van while on a pedestrian crossing.
At around 2.45pm on Friday, January 10, a woman was walking across the A1027 near Norton Avenue in Stockton when she was hit by a Vauxhall Movano.
The 31-year-old reportedly suffered a broken leg and had to be taken to the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton for treatment.
Police investigating said they were now appealing to find a female driver of a white BMW who stopped at the scene but had left before police arrived.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "She may have information which could help our on-going inquiries.
"Other witnesses and people with dash cam footage are asked to contact Cleveland Police via the 101 number quoting Event 005208."
